1.1 This Regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

1.2 RRS 1.1 Helping Those in Danger applies to coaches as well as competitors.

1.3 The Regatta sailing instructions contains very specific instructions regarding boat/trailer arrival times and parking. These instructions are rules and

must be followed by all competitors and support personnel.

1.3.1 All competitors and support personnel shall comply with the parking, launching and hauling, and support boat regulations, and reasonable requests from

Regatta officials. The competitor and the boat with which he/she is associated may be protested by the Race Committee and penalized at the discretion of the Protest

Committee, which may include disqualification, for breaches of this rule.

1.4 This event is designated a Clean Regatta by the Sailors for the Sea Organization, www.sailorsforthesea.org, a nonprofit organization that educates and

empowers boaters to protect and restore our oceans and coastal waters.

2. ELIGIBILITY:

2.1 This Regatta is open to all multihull sailboats with spinnaker and at least 2 crew.

2.2 Participants must show liability insurance

3. REGISTRATION:

3.1 Entry Fees: $120

3.3 Registration and all appropriate fees should be completed no later than Friday July 20, 2020.

3.4 No refund of registration fees will be offered after July 20, 2020.

4. EQUIPMENT:

4.1 All One Design competitors are required to wear a US Coast Guard (or the equivalent authority of the competitor’s home country) approved personal

flotation device at all times while afloat, except for brief periods while adjusting clothing.

4.2 No Class certification is required for boats.

4.3 Paddling is allowed at any time.

5. PENALTIES:

For the PHRF classes, RRS 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns penalty is replaced by the One- Turn Penalty.

6. SCORING:

6.1 Scored using SCHRS rating system. Each leg will be scored 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.

6.2 There are no throw out races.

7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:

The Sailing Instructions and courses to be sailed will be available at Registration Check-in and

may be posted online prior to the event.

8. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY:

Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in these events are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision

to Race. The race organizers (Organizing Authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be

responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this event. By

participating in these events, each competitor agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitor’s participation, to

the fullest extent permitted by law.
